Warsaw Radio release new single & video ‘Still Have You To Hold’
‘Still Have You To Hold’
“Elbow-esque and evocative” – BBC Introducing
‘One of those bands that you discover and you wish you’d known them longer’ – Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 Music
‘This is the definition of quality music and songwriting’ – Music News Today
‘Still Have You to Hold’ is the latest single from Brighton (via Limerick) five piece Warsaw Radio, a stunning track that combines baritone vocals with valiant strings to create a truly timeless sound.
In their words: ‘The song follows a narrative about an old couple who’ve been an item for 50 plus years and they have about ten more years left together as they’re in the twilight of life. For this record we aimed to create a big orchestral old world sound”
The result? A well crafted piece of music that BBC Introducing has said is “Elbow-esque and evocative”.
Named after The Warsaw Radio Orchestra, a group of brave musicians who kept performing during the WW2 invasion of Poland in 1939 – Warsaw Radio is a group of five remarkable musicians, who individually have worked with the likes of Sting, Cinematic Sinfonia, and Tom Odell.
Currently working on their debut album with The Maccabees & Florence Welch producer Jag Jago, the band have already toured extensively around the UK and Ireland, with headline shows in Whelans Dublin, Ronnie Scotts London, and The Great Escape Festival.
With a live sound that taps into their inspiration of Wilco and Fleetwood Mac, and in support of their new release, a song that merges rich instrumentation and emotive vocals, WR are live in London on June 22nd.
