Julie Feeney’s ‘Different Lights’, Vicar Street show which was set to run on Friday 26th September has been pushed to 2015 due to Julie’s exciting 4-show run in New York in September at ‘SubCulture’. The rescheduled Vicar Street date is yet to be finalised and tickets purchased for the original Vicar Street show can now be refunded from point of purchase.

Julie Feeney opens “The New Standard” concert series at the hip and chique venue SubCulture with 4 shows in New York. “I am extremely proud to be opening the “The New Standard” series at New York’s SubCulture on Bleecker Street”. SubCulture’s ‘The New Standard’ series is a multi-genre concert series celebrating fresh and inventive music by impassioned, boundary-pushing artists. The featured artists on The New Standard series were chosen for their creative risk-taking, emotional authenticity and ability to inspire audiences.

SubCulture is a performing arts venue located in the historic NoHo neighborhood of downtown Manhattan. Founded by brothers and lifelong music lovers Marc and Steven Kaplan, the venue was designed to foster an intimate connection between artists and the audience. SubCulture’s programming bridges genres, featuring performances that engage, provoke, and inspire. In Spring 2015, Julie plays a 10 Night run at Project Arts Centre, in her new One Woman show, presenting a theatrical opus crafted from her phenomenal catalogue of songs, as well as drawing on her latest works. More details will be announced soon.

Julie Feeney’s sell-out shows on both sides of the Atlantic have received rave reviews whether solo, with ensemble, with choirs or with full orchestra and she composes, arranges and orchestrates all of her own music. Her three albums have been critically acclaimed internationally, receiving numerous awards and she has created a whole host of stunning music videos to accompany them.

Julie was the winner of the ‘Choice Music Prize’ for ‘Irish Album of the Year’ for her self-produced debut album ’13 songs’, Julie’s second album ‘pages’ was shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize and featured in ‘101 Irish Albums You Must Hear Before You Die’. Her third album ‘Clocks’ went straight to No. 1 in the Independent Irish Album Charts; was voted ‘Best Album’ in The Irish Times ‘Album of the Year’, and was shortlisted for the Meteor Choice Music Prize. ‘Clocks’ was crowd-funded by fans and is the most successful music project yet on Fundit.ie.
